Cincinnati makeup artistry/Mary is married!

 I met Mary several years ago when I was working at Saks and she and her girlfriends would always come to me for prom makeup. I was absolutely thrilled when she contacted me right after she got engaged (I was the first vendor she booked; a girl with priorities!) and she even snagged my all day Red Carpet Package so I could be at her beck and call for eight full hours.
Mary is without a doubt one of the most stylish people I have ever met. No Pinterest inspiration pics for her; she sent me clips of makeup from actual runway shows. She told me she has been spending allowance money on couture dresses since she was six.
The dresses were absolutely to die for! Taking a cue from Princess Kate, she put her maids and the moms in white. Not to be "Pippa'd"she chose the most jaw dropping silvery confection you have ever laid eyes on! And the tulle bustle (created by Mary) made me swoon.
We got an early start that day, at 5AM my partner in crime Ranee and I beautified twelve women for a 10AM ceremony! I provided touchups throughout the day and topped it all off by amping up her look before the reception with a bright pink lip and a super dramatic lash fringe.

Cincinnati wedding makeup/Lucy, married!

This post is long overdue, since Lucy's wedding was last fall! She's been on my mind because we just did a FACEing makeup class together and I realized I had never blogged her. Better late than never!

Lucy was very nervous about a "white lady" doing her makeup (her words) because she had never liked makeup done by non-Asian makeup artists. In fact, she brought her most bitchy friends to her trial (we laughed about it at the end of the trial) to back her up in case she hated the makeup.

Proud to say, this white lady won her over and we are now thick as thieves!

Cincy bridal makeup/Erica, married!

I love how Laura captured such an old hollywood feel in Erica's bridal portraits. Hubba hubba! I also adore the moments she caught with Erica's father.

Not only did I get to work with this fabulous family in January, but I get to do the other daughter's wedding later this year! What an honor.

Cincy airbrush makeup/Whitney, married!

I met Whitney several month before her wedding when she came to my studio on behalf of Cincinnati Magazine. She is an advertising rep for them, and she let it slip that she was probably going to be getting engaged soon.
Sure enough, I heard from her not long after that he had proposed! We quickly found that we had tons of friends in common; I took a boot camp or two from her sister Amanda, and we both have a background in theater and a mad love for showtunes. In fact, i was in heaven on her wedding day because that is all she played!
Whitney is a girl who LOVES her makeup and is not one bit afraid of the drama. So I had a lot of fun playing of those big baby doll eyes of hers (I think she's got a bit of a Zooey Deshanel vibe going on, don't you?)

I had so much fun with Torri and her crew at her parents' house! They all adore makeup and were so excited by every single face I completed. I love that Torri and her husband had a "first touch" instead of a "first look"!
