Bitter Bridesmaid Bash, post-mortem

What a fabulous event! Thank you to those who attended, donated dresses, their time. What fun to see all these women turned out in bridesmaid garb to support such a worthy cause-Kenzie's Closet, which collects gently used dresses for girls who could not otherwise afford Homecoming or Prom gowns. The charity was named for Makena Comisar, and we were thrilled when Kenzie's mom attended with an armful of donations! We have over 150 dresses at last count.
Everyone enjoyed barhopping on Madison and checking out our sponsors-Clique, Deadwood Saloon, The Avenue, Backstage Cafe, and Keefer's. Say Cheese photobooths were the hit of the night(will post some great shots from the booths soon) and it is very addictive to go in and try out new hairstyles with their new features. What a cool idea for a wedding reception!
thanks to Emily of Bluebird photography for the fun footage here. Thanks to Alison of Aviva, Kristen of Letterheads, April of Bluebird, Beth of Beth Brigger, Court of Courtenay Lambert Florals, Nemar of Maize Music, and Frank of say Cheese.
We look forward to making this an annual event.

wondering what to do with that pricey designer gown after the wedding?

The New York Times had a very amusing article yesterday about women setting up photo shoots after the wedding and intentionally destroying their dresses in the shots.

I figure the trend will hit Cincy in about ten years.
