Stay classy, Cincinnati.

A few weeks ago I worked with my friend Mike Bresnen at WLWT. The on-air talent was in need of updated publicity shots-the stills they have on the commercials for the newscast, their station website, personal appearances, and headshots.

These are some fun, warm people. A very quick days' work! I am always curious to see the makeup bag of a newcaster-(they do their own makeup)-I wanted to know what their routine was. Hopefully I gave them a few new tricks for their repertoire.

Put your face in our hands.

I constantly have people ask "do you teach people how to put on makeup?" Lessons and classes are something I have always done and I absolutely love sharing all my secrets. Lately I have had even more people approach me and I wonder if the economy could be part of the reason; people are being more selective about how they spend their beauty dollars and rather than waste it on products that don't perform, they would rather invest in the knowledge to master their own face.

Consider this my "spinoff"-FACEing will offer one on one lessons, paired lessons (2 sisters, mother/daughter, best friends) or small group classes. I will go through everyuthing you are currently using (or things you have purchased and don't know how to use?)and give you step-by-step instruction. I'll even throw in a highly detailed cheat sheet. And because I don't sell makeup, I have no agenda; I am just as apt to recommend a $5 mascara as I am a $45 foundation;my recommendations are based on my own trial and error and just my sheer obsession with all things cosmetic. You will be armed with a shopping list at the makeup store (btw; did you hear we are getting an ULTA at Kenwood!?) and be able to wave away the well-meaning salespeople with confidence.

so join us on Facebook and check out our spankin' new website! And spread the word...lessons make a great gift for someone FACEing a significant birthday, a high school reunion, or re-entering the dating world.

Cincinnati airbrush makeup/Kristin, married!

Claire and I had so much fun with this bridal party, and isn't the bride a knockout?? Images courtesy of Mandy Paige

Cincinnati bridal makeup/Kate, married!!

Kate is the dear, dear friend of my friend, Alison of Aviva Events.
Which meant not only did I get to work with a bride as cool as Alie, but I also had an excuse to do Alie's makeup again. Lucky Kate had the benefit of her best friend's recommendations-

The wedding was at Peterloon; I just love the dreamy, vintage quality of the greenhouse images!

Cincinnati makeup artist/Wesley, married!!

The Bridal Studio ladies first met up with Wesley back in January. She is a recent transplant from L.A. and worked as an event planner there. She was hoping to network with all of us and brainstorm some events together. Little did we know then that we would all four be doing this event-her wedding!
Jennifer Nally absolutely outdid herself on the hair. Gorgeous images by Bluebird Photography, beautiful invites and reception accroutements by Poeme, and stunning florals by Courtenay Lambert. How about that DRESS? Definitely a hot tamale.

Cincinnati bridal makeup/Kris, married!

Kris was not about to let a little rain dampen her spirits. After having pipes explode at her home a week before the wedding, ruining tons of wedding accroutements and forcing them into a hotel, she definitely had things in perspective!! Her family really pulled together to redo all the decorations, and they did all the flowers themselves.

Love that top shot-you can see the reflection of me and Kris in the mirror behind. There's Claire, my new assistant. Love her! Don't know how I got through the last five years without her.
